The Minister of Youth and Sports of the South West State of Somalia, Mowiid Xasan Xuseen, who is on a working visit to Mogadishu, paid an official visit to the headquarters of the Somali Olympic Committee.

The Minister was warmly welcomed by the Chair of the Somali Olympic Committee, Ms. Sucaad Galow, and the other members of the Committee.

During the visit, the Minister thanked the Committee for its efforts and its important work in developing sport and youth in Somalia, and praised its role in advancing sport in the country.

The Minister also stated the commitment of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the South West State to strengthening cooperation between sports institutions and to improving opportunities for young people, athletes and the sports community of South West State.

The Ministry will continue its efforts to strengthen youth and sports development, giving priority to cooperation, connectivity and equal opportunities.
