The Minister of Youth and Sports of the South West State of Somalia, Mowliid Xasan Xuseen, held a working meeting in Nairobi with officials of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), including Ms. Cecilia Kleimert and Mr. Per Karlsson.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation and support opportunities linked to the Ministry's priorities, in particular youth leadership, youth empowerment, community participation, the economic empowerment of young people and the development of sport in South West Somalia.
The meeting was part of the Ministry's 100-Day Plan, especially its Stakeholder Engagement and Donor Mapping activities, which are important for strengthening relations with stakeholders and identifying cooperation and support opportunities in line with the Ministry's priorities.
The 100-Day Plan also reflects the development vision of the Leader of the South West State of Somalia, Sheikh Aadan Maxamed Nuur (Sheikh Aadan Madoobe), as the Ministry works to accelerate the empowerment of young people and the development of sport.
The Minister thanked the Government of Sweden and SIDA for the consistent support they provide to Somalia, in particular South West Somalia, stressing the importance of further strengthening the cooperation that supports the youth of South West State.
